A Rita, moradora da Vila Brandão tinha chamado a Limpurb para retirar o lixo deste canto da Vila. Marcaram hoje no dia 8 de abril, mas como choveu bastante, o equipe da Limpurb não apareceu. E a quantidade do lixo?! Na imagem parece um pouco só, mas sob a cobertura verde abundante existe um aterro de entulho há décadas! É uma montanha de sofás, controles, sacos plásticos, brinquedos, quarda chuvas, restos de material de construção...e alguns cem métros à direção da área inferior natural existe uma fonte natural de água - será que essa água aínda está fresca? E não é só aqui. Viu as fotos que postei depois da visita na periféria, Mirantes II. Ignorância somada com a falta (de provisão) de educação ambiental e com serviços públicos inadequados?
Rita, living in Vila Brandão called the municipal waste management organ Limpurb to clean this edge of the squatter settlement. Their team was supposed to come today, but obviously the heavy rain canceled their mobilization. And the amount of trash?! In the picture it looks quite clean, but under the flourushing green cover there is a mountain of plastic, old couches, remote controls, construction waste, toys...This spot has been a dump for decades and only a few hundred meters below in the "natural" area there is a fountain of fresh (?still?) water, used by Vila Brandão dwellers years ago, before prohibition. But the trash is not only here, just take a look at the pictures I posted after the visit in Mirantes II, periphery of Salvador. My guess: ignorance plus lack (of provision) of environmental education plus inadequate public services.
